We managed to track down Col McIntyre, sales agent, auctioneer and owner of McIntyre Property who shared with us, a few valuable tips for those budding agents out there.
With a moto of "onwards and upwards" for the agency, Col recommends for those looking at opening their own agency to have robust operational systems and processes in place to follow. “Be patient when employing, we are extremely proud of our dedicated team. We believe that people come first, the property second”.
With the start of the spring selling season upon us (for the southeastern states), and subsequent commissions flying in, how do you not blow that commission cheque all at once? We asked Col to give one tip for those young agents, “Don’t live for the day, live for the year. We earn 70% of our income in the summer months here in Canberra, so make sure you’re clear ahead.”
